The Playhouse in the Park will present the hit Disney musical "High School Musical 2" at the Playhouse July 30 - August 22. Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2:30 p.m.
A cast of 50 local youth will present this classic, with all new sets, lighting, and costumes.
In this sequel to High School Musical, school's out for summer, and the East High Wildcats are ready to make it the time of their lives. Follow the adventures of Troy, Chad, Taylor, Zeke, Martha, Kelsi, Jason and the rest of the Wildcat pals as they work at the posh summer resort Lava Springs, which, of course, includes a club talent show.
Our guest choreographer for High School Musical 2 will be Matthew Kiel.Kiel is a professional dancer and choreographer with many credits including a recent stint in Las Vegas as a performer.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for senior citizens and students. Reservations can be made by calling 251-602-0630 after July 15.

Danny and Pamela Mollise Recipients of Arts Educator Award
Playhouse Directors Danny and Pam Mollise were the recipients of the Educator Award at the Sixth Annual Greater Mobile Arts Awards on Friday, September 11 at 6:30 in Cathedral Square. A reception honoring the recipients followed in the Mobile Arts Council offices. The awards acknowledge the important contributions that individuals, groups, and businesses make to the cultural life of our community.
